About Lucie and Her Commitment to You

 My name is Lucie Bolduc. I have always been interested and inspired by color, architectural design and art. I enjoy the look and feel, texture and appearance of a well maintained natural wood environment.

 At the age of 17 I apprenticed with a disciplined master painter and restoration artist in San Francisco. I was taught as he had learned. Always taking pride in each project being worked on with great attention to detail and cleanliness. In 1976 I partnered up with Jim McLellan and began Antique Refinishing, hand done with care, specializing in hand rubbed oil finishes throughout Marin County. The skills accumulated in the following years layered the ground work for my expansion of services and launching of In-Home Restoration in 1984. In 2012 the business has evolved into Wood Restoration and Refinishing.
 

 Wood is one of our most beautiful and popular and interesting interior surfaces being used today. However, it is also a fragile and vulnerable architectural material. It can suffer from the direct effects of environment such as excessive humidity, sun, heat and excessive dryness and cold along with other environmental hazards that can lead to surface wear and tear, discoloration, scratching, haziness, dirt build up, lifting and cracking. These can be restored, stained and finished in a variety of ways. Your wood surfaces will receive care depending on a damage assessment, age and desired decorative look and materials.
